This new module is available in beta version. Feel free to provide feedback to contribute to the evolution of this module!
Pluriell offers you a new module to calculate the profitability of your projects. With this module, you will be able to:
- Enter the costs related to your projects: subcontracting costs, travel expenses,, printing costs, etc.;
- Calculate the salary costs and mileage expenses of your employees based on their inputs;
- Visualize the profitability of project phases and the overall profitability of projects.
This module is visible for "administrator" licences.
Enter costs related to your projects
Before calculating the profitability of the projects, it will be necessary to input the costs related to your projects. In the 'Finances' menu on the left sidebar, you will find a 'Costs' tab where you can enter your expenses:
-
Click on the "+ Cost" button at the top right of the screen.
-
Enter the information related to the cost and save it.
-
Navigate through the recorded costs using the available filters.
You can categorize the entered costs using cost types that can be configured from the environment settings.
TIPS : Is your project a temporary partnership project ? Enter subcontracting costs directly from this module and calculate the net margin per project phase.
Calculate the employee payroll costs
Pluriell allows you to calculate costs related to employee services per phase. To do so, it is necessary to define an hourly cost per employee :
-
In the settings, navigate to the 'Accounts & Licenses'.
-
In the "Licenses" tab, click on the collaborator to edit.
-
In the configuration sidebar, enter the hourly cost of the collaborator.
-
Save the changes.
Once the hourly costs are defined per employee, we automatically calculate the total sum per project phase based on the entered services. Services related to a project as a whole are listed under a 'Unphased' row.
TIPS : In this beta version, the employee's hourly cost is unique and defined in the settings. We have plans in the short term to define a different cost per phase and per period.
Calculate the costs of the kilometers
You can also calculate the costs associated with the kilometres logged by employees. To do this, you need to define a cost per kilometre:
-
In Settings, go to "Finance".
-
In the cost tab, enter the cost per kilometer.
-
Saving is automatic.
Once the costs per kilometre have been defined, we automatically calculate the total sum per project phase on the basis of the kilometres entered. Kilometres linked to a project as a whole are included in a "Unphased" line.
TIPS : Dans In this beta version, the mileage cost is unique and defined in the settings. We have plans in the short term to define a different cost per period.
Visualize the profitability of projects
In your projects, a new 'Profitability' tab is available. This module includes the different main phases and presents the following information in a table:
- Phase names
- Estimated time
- Time worked
- Ratio of estimated to worked time (in percentage)
- Total billing (= 'To be billed' + 'Billed')
- Remaining amount to be billed
- Billed amount
- Salary costs amount (= ('Time worked' per employee * Employee hourly cost) + (km * mileage cost))
- Project-related costs amount (retrieved from cost input in the finance module)
- Profit/Loss (= 'Billed' - ('Salary costs' + 'Costs'))
- Margin (= ('Profit/Loss' / 'Billed') * 100) (in percentage)
For each table, a 'Unphased' row is added, capturing services, invoices, and costs attributed to the project as a whole.
Visualize the overall profitability of the projects
In the general finance module, under the 'Projects' tab, we have added the information about total costs, profit/loss, and margin.
TIPS : In this overall view, the total calculation row adjusts according to the filtered projects.
